The Print Media Studio at Langara offers a wide variety of media and printing processes. Historical approaches and contemporary innovations are explored through the creation of original prints. First Year Print Media introduces students to the basic materials and techniques used in creating editions of prints of various types, while second year courses focus on an in-depth understanding through concentration on a particular media.

Courses in Serigraphy (Silkscreen), Intaglio Etching, Relief/Collograph and Plate Lithography are offered on a rotating basis. With the instructor as a guide and facilitator students develop skills and proficiency while also allowing for the development of self-directed projects that reflect the student’s interests and research.
