Eli Figueroa

As an artist based in Burnaby, I acknowledge and thank the Coast Salish Nations of Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish, on whose traditional, ancestral and unceded territory I learn and live. Throughout the Langara Fine Arts Program I have explored themes about my Latin-American background and cultural identity. However, my more recent work focuses on fusing elements of surrealism and abstraction with the natural world. My practice, as of late, involves photography, sculpture and 2D drawing.
